AT Fiji’s largest state-of-the-art specialty hospital, innovation and perseverance are driving groundbreaking medical achievements.

From pioneering surgeries to the introduction of advanced medical technologies, Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) Hospital is reshaping the country’s healthcare landscape.

Founder and chief executive officer Parvish Kumar credits the hospital’s success to a positive vision, tireless dedication, and a commitment to delivering world-class medical care.

“Creating positive vibes and working tirelessly towards achieving goals is resulting in milestone achievements at PSH Hospital,” Mr Kumar said.

Speaking at the corporate social night and “know your hospital” event at PSH Hospital in Legalega, Nadi on Friday, Mr Kumar addressed business leaders and key stakeholders, highlighting how the hospital is setting new standards in Fiji’s medical field.

PSH Hospital began with humble roots in Suva in 2016, driven by a bold vision — to bring world-class medical services to Fiji, the Pacific community, and international visitors.

“During my academic days, I had the opportunity to travel the world and saw firsthand advancements in the medical field in countries like Germany, India, Singapore, and UAE,” Mr Kumar said.

However, bringing state-of-the-art medical technology to Fiji was not easy. While he made multiple submissions to stakeholders and government ministries, the bureaucratic hurdles slowed down progress.

“That is when I got together with a group of very close friends and told them of my plans to start a specialty hospital,” Mr Kumar said.

“I saw our people being deprived of services available elsewhere in the world, and those medical technologies weren’t as expensive when compared with the value of saving lives.”

He emphasised while Fiji had some of the best doctors and nurses, they needed the right tools to deliver exceptional healthcare.

“We can now significantly reduce the rate of amputations in the country with the commissioning of the Hyperbaric Chamber in-house in Nadi,” Mr Kumar said.

“Our medical team is on standby 24/7 to assist patients any time, day or night.”

Mr Kumar hinted at even more exciting advancements on the horizon.

“We wish to work very closely with the government to ensure Fiji becomes the hub of medical services in the region and people no longer need to travel overseas for complex medical treatments.”

With cutting-edge technology, a dedicated medical team, and an unwavering commitment to progress, PSH Hospitals is proving that world-class healthcare is no longer a dream for Fiji — it’s a reality.
